For employers and business owners enrolled into the $1,500 per fortnight JobKeeper program, you need to make a declaration to the ATO each month in order to receive the subsidy payment.
The monthly declaration involves confirming with the ATO your eligible employees and/or business participant for the previous month. You also need to advise the ATO of your turnover for the previous month and your estimated turnover for the current month.
The ATO say you need to make this monthly declaration between the 1st and 14th of the month.
For example, to be reimbursed for JobKeeper payments your business made in May, you need to complete the declaration by 14 June.
