The WA State Government is providing payroll tax relief due to COVID-19.
Payroll tax waiver
If at 29 February 2020 your Australian taxable wages were less than $5 million then you will have payroll tax waived for your March and June returns.
Grant payment
If your Australian taxable wages were between $1 million and $4 million in 2018-19 financial year, then you will receive a cheque for $17,500.
Threshold increase
The payroll tax threshold will be increased to $1 million on 1 July 2020.
