Christine joined Munro’s in March 2005 and became a director of the firm in 2012, having initially come to Australia in 1997 to pursue her tertiary education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree from Edith Cowan University in 1999 and completed a Master of Accounting degree from Curtin University of Technology in 2001. She became a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) in 2010 and has subsequently qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, Christine speaks fluent Indonesian. Having been settled in Australia for the past twenty years, she has been fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with individuals and families from a range of backgrounds. She has assisted numerous clients who migrated to Australia on business and skills visas with accounting, taxation and business matters and her own involvement in her family’s franchised businesses gives her invaluable hands-on experience when it comes to assisting small to medium sized business clients.
Christine provides taxation, accounting, superannuation, estate planning, and other business advisory services to a broad range of clients including primary producers, manufacturers, retailers, consultants, pharmacies, optometrists, property agents, and high wealth individuals.
Christine is highly personable and brightens up the Munro’s offices with her cheerful attitude. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, and also enjoys travelling and spending time with her wider family.
Munros have been a wonderful support over the last 50 years. Christine , Simon and previously Barry, have taken tremendous care of all my accounts and have even managed not to laugh at the state of my annual paperwork, that is, when I eventually submit it.
Congratulations Munro’s on 50 years. I think my father must have been one of Donald’s and Barry’s earliest clients. Their names were ever present around the breakfast table when I was hopping on a school bus. I reflected with Christine a few months ago that the most important people in life were my family, my accountants, my GP and and Gough Whitlam. In no particluar order. (Why Gough Whitlam? He gave me a free university education and stopped the Vietnam ballot a year before it was my turn. And I have never voted labor). Thanks to Ian, Melissa, Christine, Noeline and Rama.
